Bambi Holzer, of Bambi Holzer Financial Group, assists trustees of foundations and nonprofit organizations in better managing their assets through the effective design of investment policy statements, sound principles of asset allocation, and professional investing by qualified money managers. These services help trustees better manage their fiduciary responsibility and fulfill their accountability obligations to constituents. She also works with individuals and families, helping them reach their financial goals through a comprehensive program that includes retirement planning and investment planning. During her 26-year career she has been endorsed by the California Medical Association, the Union of American Physicians and Dentists, and several chambers of commerce, including the California State Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Holzer has appeared on the Today Show, NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw, Fox on Money, CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, Lifetime, and local television and radio shows across the country. She’s been quoted in such publications as U.S. News and World Report, Money Magazine, Business Week, Smart Money, Research Magazine, Investors Business Daily, New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. A popular speaker, she is frequently invited to address investment clubs and industry forums. She has written several articles on retirement planning and is the editor of Pension Perspective, a newsletter featuring information and applications of ERISA law. She is the author of three best selling books on retirement planning and personal finance published by John Wiley & Sons. Ms. Holzer is a Certified Specialist in Planned Giving and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. She is a founding member of the Society of Fiduciary Advisors and a member of the Council on Foundations. Ms Holzer belongs to the American Society of Pension Actuaries (ASPA), the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), and the Western Pension and Benefits Conference Group. She is the recipient of the Woman of Achievement in Finance award by the Century City Chamber of Commerce and the Woman of the Year award by the Business and Professional Women's Division of the United Jewish Fund. Ms. Holzer was a 2006 nominee for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women Making a Difference award. In addition to her professional accomplishments, she is also active in civic affairs. She has received the Woman of the Year Award for the United Jewish Federation and the Woman of Action Award for the Israeli Cancer Research Fund. She is on the board of directors of the Children's Cancer Research Fund, the Mancini Institute, We Are the World and USA for Africa. She is also a member of the executive committee of the American Cancer Society and the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Los Angeles. In addition, she is on the board of trustees of the House Ear Institute and serves as an ambassador to the Weizmann Institute of Science. Ms. Holzer is currently the chairman of the Presidents’ Council for Easter Seals Southern California. A graduate of Northwestern University she is on the National Advisory Council for the School of Speech, and received Northwestern University’s Honorary Service Award in 1999.
